As a poodle owner for 10 years, I thought I knew everything about my beloved dog Coffee. After I lost her, I desperately needed an emotional outlet and a way to grieve. That’s when I picked up my pencils and started drawing her.
For the following few weeks, seeing her come to life on paper was the most therapeutic thing I had ever experienced. It gave me a sense of comfort as I realized she would always live in my memory. What used to be a means of grieving turned into a celebration of her life.
And that doesn’t have to happen only after losing a pet. Spending time coloring the fluff balls you adore is simply the best way to slow your mind down and decompress. Whenever I have a rough day, I pick up my markers and pencils and dive right into my coloring book.
You can do the same, too! In this post, you’ll find a series of poodle coloring pages that you can download and print for free. I especially love the poodle versions of Mona Lisa and Girl with a Pearl Earring. Just imagine the fun of blending that cuteness into a classic masterpiece.
